Summer in November

As August approaches, the Gallery has a number of new artists on show... Two new ones of interest are James G Miles  and Ray Howard Jones...Both have been drawn to paint the coast and the work of each artist will be on show this summer.

James G Miles of Ireland also has a range of bronze castings in the Gallery and these are proving a wonderful asset to the window display, the quality of this very tactile work is definitely worth seeing and along with his paintings are creating a very light summery feel to the ground floor .

Ray Howard Jones (born 1903) was a product and prize winner of the Slade Art School, her career in art ranged from World War 2 war artist through to Ceramic artist for the Western Mail building in Cardiff and 5 successful shows at the Leicester Gallery in Central London... In later life she lived as a virtual recluse in St Martins Haven and painted the area around including Skomer Island.

The Gallery will, from early August have a number of her works on show, some of which have not been on display before...

Apart from these artists there will be a wonderful new print by Neil Canning and a rare oil painting of Red Wharf Bay on Anglesey by the late Donald Macintyre... We hope you will come and see this exciting exhibition during August and early September...
